Do you have a website that you are buying from so we could look?

Antec Earthwatts are good PSU's

no, because the powersupplies aren't "important" in this country : /

the options are the rosewill or the istar.... :(

there are some resellers that sells antec powersupllies, but are the "entry level " antec powersuplies, and corsair, tagan, enermax, etc are priced + 300 U$D, because, this country has very high customs for electrical products. :(

so, of this 2 power supplies, which is betteR?

Ignoring power requirement... Get the Istar, from the engineering point of view the Rosewill had an inherent design weakness which the Istar didn't have.

As far as faith, belief, or trust in companies with quality components, you'll have to get that from another expert.

Which entry level Antecs, and at what prices? Even the cheapest current models, the Basiq, is not that terrible. If you can get one of the Basiq 500W units for a good price, or maybe an EarthWatts, which is next up on the Antec PSU totem pole. You don't need to get a TruePower Quattro or TruePower Trio for a quality unit.

What weakness?

Who is the OEM for the Istar?

I swear if I squint really hard at the picture of its badge it says 161451...which is CWT and it also says Model PSH750...which is CWT...but for that price????

I'll refer this one to suppliers/resellers, if they do their job properly they would know.

The Rosewill's 3.3V and 5V shared a single rail all the way out to distribution endpoints. This made it even more prone to cross regulation failure. Very common to older designs and low end PSUs.

The Istar's 3.3V and 5V share a single rail but both 3.3V and 5V used independent secondary. which allowed for greater output current and the 3.3V didn't have to withstand as much blocking voltage as the Rosewill's 3.3V was forced to.
