I have a prejudice against Blackberrys, since despite their sales volume, IMO they're inferior brand smartphones. Which other brands are good for business use (e-mail, viewing office apps, etc.)?

With the number of apps available for Android and iOS, its your preference really. Email, office, etc, you have multiple options on both platforms. Depends on your preference of phone form factor.

Don't forget Windows Mobile 7 too - it has excellent Outlook and Office integration.

I'd avoid the Verizon iPhone till the next generation, and then only if it will allow you to do voice and data at the same time.

Office integration would be awesome, if you choose iOS or Android, Quick Office is pretty good as well.

It really depends on what you defined as a business need. Windows Phone 7 has fantastic Office and calendar apps, and solid Outlook support, which are obviously important for business. The iPhone is becoming a bit more established within company IT departments. Android is passable for business, it will do the job, definitely improving with time.
