Seeing as how the Vibrant in the tmo store next to my house crashes every few minutes and just locks up when you select the Navigation app, id say G2.

Oh, it also feels like a cheap toy.

G2. Although I love SAMOLED screens, and the Vibrant has a more powerful GPU, the keyboard trumps it all for me.

Honestly, I'd hold off on either for the time being. Samsung's record with their phones and the Galaxy S's broken GPS make me very wary of buying an GS phone. Even if it boasts the most powerful hardware out there right now. And the G2's 'auto-wipe' ROM, rootkit, whatever you choose to call it, angers me. Best way to get companies to stop these poor and anti-consumer business tactics is not to buy those products.

G2

I'll never get a Samsung phone again. They don't have a good track record at all.

Yeah, I pretty much hate Samsung phones, the Intercept I have sucks balls, but it's the cheapest option available...

The TMobile rep didn't believe me when I told him about VM's plan, he had to look at the web page before he'd admit they had those prices...

Unless there's a root, wireless tether, and UMA for the G2 within the month, I'm cancelling TMobile till the data rates are better.

I'm on Tmo and really itching for a new phone, but I think at this point it is best to wait till January to see what verizon does, also for WinPhone7 to come out.

Vibrant. It has a bigger, better screen, faster processor, much faster gpu, and no hardware rootkit to interfere with modding.

<-Very satisfied Captivate owner.

G2. I like having the tactile response of keyboard, and it's great for emulator gaming. I also like how heavy the phone is, and the metal feels higher quality than the plastic.

Main question for you is do you want a keyboard on your phone? That's the only major difference. The rest are minor differences where the Vibrant wins in some and the G2 wins in others.

LOL, I don't think that's even close to what'll happen :)

I don't even think it'll slow the adoption of Android OS'd devices at all... there may be a small speed bump, but there are a hell of a lot of Android devices being sold on all of the carriers.

Don't feed the trolls.

I have the option of swapping my Vibrant for a G2 but I don't think I'm going to do it. With the bootloader issues, I won't be in any better shape with the G2.

The myTouch HD should be out around Christmas. That's got my interest a lot more than the G2 now.

After owning a vibrant and playing with the g2 for a week I would still choose my vibrant because it does more of what I want.the multi media on it is great and when the fixes come for it it will be better.

Really? The GPS fix didn't really work for my Vibrant. I would love to switch it out for the G2. Could you PM me the steps you took to get this option?

just returned my Samsung Epic 4G nice stats.. bad implementation and bugs..

GPS was lousy and foldout keyboard was worthless.

HTC EVO 2x the phone the Epic was.

stay away from the galaxy S phones unless you like bugs and no support.

Yeah...I'm going to swap out my Vibrant for a G2 today. Makes me really sad because I started following the Galaxy S phones when they were only a rumor. I busted my hump at work to save up enough money to pay full retail for my phone. Then I get it and it was 100% let down. The only thing I am going to miss is Allshare but maybe someone will find a way to hack that onto other phones.

I'll be wiping my phone after I take my son to school and saying my final goodbyes to Samsung phones forever.
