Thanks for the info. I would be more of a real camera user if I had the time I guess. I do have one but very rarely have it with me.

I'm an android guy as well. Now I'm considering to update to iPhone 6 since my phone's memory is too small to install the apps and games I like. So I want to change a new phone with enough memory. I know there are many other choices, I'm fond of Apple's design and quality. While I do not see much update in iPhone 6S released this year, so iPhone 6 won my vote.

I've been an Android user since Android 2.1, but recently I switched to the iPhone 6S Plus 64GB. I will say, this phone is the bee's knees overall. The camera is amazing, the phone is hella fast, and the OS stability is much better coming from Android 5.0. However, the OS is pretty boring, and it seems like every little thing that you do takes another step compared to Android. No notification light and no back button that's reachable is crap as well.
There are a handful of other things I miss from Android, but I'm not really a power user, so I can deal with it. Oh yeah, and the battery life is amazing compared to my HTC One. It easily lasts me all day.

My wife has been using Android for the same time frame, and she decided to switch as well. Long story short, she returned the phone after a week. She just doesn't like iOS on a phone for the most part. So she's sticking with her LG G3 until a much better Android set comes out on Verizon.

We also have three kids as well, so taking photos and video of them is essential. Pretty much no need for my Sony A33 anymore...Like you, I use OneDrive, so I don't rely on Apple services, and don't want to.

Turbo2 or the V10 would be the current choice, but the G3 is more than good enough to last awhile longer.

True. She played with the V10 and the Turbo 2, but they didn't appeal to her much. She really likes her G3, so I guess it won't hurt to wait.

The new g5 is supposedly due out in February, running a snapdragon 820 and 20 something mp camera.

Anybody here got xperiance with the xperia z5? (see what I did there? Lol) I've heard mixed reports about the new 23mp camera on it. It's supposed to be a really good lens let down by poor software. I know the screen is slightly smaller than the minimum of 5.5 that I'm ideally after, but if the camera is awesome I could put up with that. Now I know you can get camera apps to alter the software, but how do they work. Is it just a different design, like a different skin but the software is the same underneith, or can the apps you buy actually alter the software for the camera in the back ground, the bit you don't see?

Thanks

OK, had a play with a s6 edge+ earlier, and actually really like it. Wasn't expecting too. Seems touchwiz has been thinned down a bit since the note 4? Screen was gorgeous. And the camera amazing. Think this might be up for consideration. What's people's thoughts on the s6 edge +?

Thanks

The Note5 is superior in most peoples opinion, the edge screen just makes it a bit more awkward and uncomfortable to hold in the hand, as well as just not having much practical use. It has the widgets and alarm clock stuff, but that's really all it does. If you're in the UK the Note5 should be releasing their in a few weeks. That being said, the edge+ is a fine phone as long as you are okay with the gimmick screen.

Also, the 5.1.1 update for the note4 brings it in line with the S6/S6 edge/S6 edge+/note5. So if you enjoyed the S6 edge, you could like it on the Note4 (if you still have it).

Also, 6.0 update should be coming in the next 2-3 months for the S6/S6 edge/S6 edge+/Note5 and Note4.

The note 4 has now been sold, so I haven't got a phone. My note had the latest 5.1.1 update, but I remember it feeling..... "fatter" than the edge+. The software felt more energetic in the edge+ than I ever remember the note 4 being. Note 4 felt lethargic in comparison.

The note5 and edge+ both are slimmer than the note4, and Exynos 7420 is a good bit more powerful than the SD805 or Exynos 5433 in the note4, add to that the extra GB of RAM, and USF 2.0 internal memory (note4 used slower eMMC5.0). Edge+ and Note5 should both feel better to use, and should fit easier in the hand.
