Which PDA?

Hello everyone! I am the biggest noob when it comes to PDAs, pocket pcs, whatever. So I am looking to you guys for some advice. I have decided to upgrade my office and integrate some wireless and paperless things. So, some of the features I would need would be the voice recording/memo, wireless, and card expansion. I dont know what is better/worse between the OS systems or brands so any schooling would be great! Thanks a ton guys! 😀

For business use get a Palm based PDA such as Tunsten.

For entertainment and business get a Microsoft® Windows® Mobile based PDA such as Axim

Oh and I dont want to spend too too much over 300 if necessary. I have looked at the T3 that a collegue is using and that seems nice but I want to look at all of my alternatives before I drop the buck.

I hear that! I guess I am just looking for the most bang for the buck that has those options.

Get the Dell x50v, it is the best hands down. 624mhz, 640x480 screen, my frend has it, it looks beautiful. Although its $500.

I recently got a Treo 650 which is a palm device/cellular phone. I love it. Full web browsing, email, voice dialing, mp3, camera, camcorder, Word,Excel,PDF support...

are there any conflicts between programs with the different operating systems? Again, this would be for business, not pleasure so I dont need any fancy media features or things of the sort.

I guess if there was any other feature which would be used outside of the office I would take the GPS feature for random driving directions.

I was really hoping there was a website that showed a good comparison or had a guide/review of whats out there. I am having trouble even finding this!

Another thing to consider is if you know Graffiti or not. If not, are you willing to learn it. I don't now why Palm still doesn't have natural handwriting(correct me if I am wrong...like 3rd party software). I like PPC since the handwriting software is so accurate. It even surprises me since I have bad handwriting, but it still knows what I write! That is another factor between PPC and Palm.

Wait...why would a Palm be better for business use?

None of this matters, the thread is two monthes old and was brought back by a question about the users final choice. Argue about the best PDA for buisness use elsewhere 😉

I thought it was "always better to post in an existing thread than to start a new one" 😕
