I like the Kingston HyperX. Great timings, great RAM. Not an overclocker though so buy accordingly.

the kingston I linked isn't hyperX, is it? Also, there is no need for this to be OC'ers memory, so that's why I'm going cheap.

HyperX doesn't overclock good? I don't use it but with it being a gamer's memory and having heatspreaders and such that it was a good overclocker.

yeah, hyperx doesn't overclock that well, but they have excellent timings 2-2-2-5!!

Crucial! The premium others charge for ram with better timings are just not worth it.

I wouldn't run Crucial on an nForce2 board...too many problems with certain revisions. Though I have Crucial on other machines that run just fine. I also wouldn't bother with dual channel RAM, unless you absolutely have to have it for the pimp factor.

I'd do 1x512MB stick of HyperX. I think that generally you'll increase your chances of lower timings and a better overclock.

I built my friend a computer with the Abit NF7-S mobo and 2X 512 sticks of Crucial 2100.

he has not had any problems.
