Which P4 processor do you think is faster for gaming?

I was just wondering which processor would be faster for gaming, given that all the other hardwares are the same for comparison of the two CPUs?
I got two Kingston HyperX PC3000, 512MB per stick.

I would say the HT enabled one. Especially if you have anything enabled in the background. I have a 2.4C @3gig and a 2.26 @ 2.9gig and the 2.4C is way more responsive, framerates the same, and I still have a DC client running. Not to mention that the price is almost identical w/ the 533mhz version.

I am thinking the 2.6C would have the advantage, with its faster bus speed and HT. but it would be very close.

The 2.53 @ 3.06 would be faster. The HT would not make up for that much CPU speed.

Dang, y'all beat me to the punch line. The quad pumped bus will have some effect on performance, but CPU speed is 10X as important for tasks like games. Now if you want to talk multi-tasking, of course HT will change things somewhat. Maybe a 2.53 o/c to 2.8GHz, that might actually be better debate.

Well. I got the P4 2.6C in now. The reason I cannot overclock b/c I got the Asus P4PE board right now. I cannot afford to buy a new MB yet until I can sell some of my stuffs.

Hi,
What does that mean? Does it mean the 2.53@3.06 is not as good as the P4 2.6C? Or the other way around?
Thanks.

P4 2.6C Ghz, hyperthread, not overclock.

This would be my pick IF installed on a MB capable of a duel memory configuration and
HT enabled.
