The OP has swollen sinus passages and overactive mucous membranes brought on by an allergic reaction to some irritant.

All nasal decongestants have a rebound effect which is worse than the normal symptoms. The only advice to give here is stop inhaling the irritant. If that is not possible, the advice changes to quit whining and stfu. There is no treatment which leaves the sufferer better off.

LOL, so your advice is to stop breathing? Pure genius right there :D

Pseudoephedrine isn't known to have a rebound. It does have some significant side effects though.

These medications effect people in different ways, you will have to try one and decide if the effects, good and bad, work for you.

I used Claritan for years, then had to switch to Fexofenidine.
Decongestants make me hyper, which is not apparently common.

Mold, mildew, cleaning products, and dust mites are likely the most common indoor irritants. Removing as many rugs as possible, using alegene mattress and pillow covers can help.
Has your home been tested for Radon? AC filters cleaned with bleachand rinsed, or replaced?
