I used to be running 98se/2k Pro dual boot, but because of a few things, i need to reinstall. I am not sure if it's worth going to XP pro? I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of issues there are between XP and anything? ;) I do like to play games, all kinds, from age of empires to quake 3, are they any issues with XP and games? If what's in my system is an issue, just check out my system rigs profile, it's the main system. I once heard something about Norton 2002? Sorry for all the questions, but I appreciate the help ;)

Well, most of the games I play run fine (Q3, HL/CS/TFC, and Asheron's Call), BUT I have had some problems installing some other games like Hitman, Thief 2, ect.

Honestly, if you play ALOT of different games you would be better off staying with 2K or 98se (I NEVER had a problem in 2k once I set it up right playing games) for now. I use XP and have no problems, and I actually like it (despite the Luna interface, which I turned off pretty quick).

[My opinion only]

If you arent luck enough to have a company buy it for you like I did, then I would stick with 2K. The only things I REALLY like about XP is the remote desktop (terminal services) and the way the start menu is set up (which I hated until I got used to it). If not for those two things I would still be on 2K. I guess the drag and drop burning integrated is kind of nice, but I still use nero.

[/My opinion only]

Norton 2002 is out...it works on XP....dont know what else you wanted from that one...

XP works fine for all but the oldest (DOS-era) games, and any hardware incompatibilities are steadily being resolved. But, in most people's opinions, it's not worth the price if you've already got 2K. XP is nice, but not $100+ nicer than 2K.
