It's nice and all that the P4C is within $10 of the P4E here in the US, but some of you need to remember that he's in Canada, and there is a $50 price difference between the two CPUs. $200 vs. $250. The P4C does NOT "beat the crap out of" the P4E in the 3-4ghz range. You do not need a 4ghz prescott to have similar/better performance than a northwood. Differences between a 2.4A and 2.4C after overclocking to their near max potential will in all likelihood be no more than 10% within each other. If both CPUs were to max out at 3ghz for an overclock, the prescott is certainly NOT going to be an oven. Don't overexaggerate. If he was hitting upper 3s, maybe 4ghz, then yes, heat on the prescott would be a problem. I just think in his situation he's going to save much more money getting the prescott, and won't even notice the small performance difference, unless he uses his computer for things that require HT heavily. I'd get a mobile xp myself, but he asked for which you would pick between the two p4 chips.
