Which one you think is the best?

Entirely subjective, of course, but I have to say Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War with the Soulstorm expansion pack, especially since the latest patch, along with the Bugifx Mod merged with the Dawn of Skirmish A.I mod, and you're in for a heck of a ride. I also like Company of Heroes a lot, but I do still prefer the Dawn of War saga.

Never really played much of Down of War but hear it is really good. The only RTS that I play on occasion is either CoH or C&C 3 tiberium wars

I still like SC and WC3 the most tho lol

Of the RTS titles that I've played recently, I enjoyed Supreme Commander and Age of Empires 3. On the turn based side, Medieval 2 Total War and Civilization 4: Colonization are my two favorites.

I do suppose that these titles are a little older, but that just means that you can play them on superior hardware than you had when they were released. 😉

Civilization IV: Beyond The Sword.

Old school action: Civ 2 Scenario expansion pack WW79.

Compromise between old school and modern: SMAC

just got medieval 2: total war and have to admit it's blowing my mind. really good game.
i like the galciv game, latest i've played is galciv2: dark avatar, and didnt get the twilight of the arnor expansion pack yet.
sins of a solar empire is fun.

This...

Dawn of War did not get Game of the Year for nothing and the expansions have done nothing but expand on it.

After Relic's meeting in London today showing off Dawn of War 2, I cannot wait!!!

3 Terminators in a termie squad, almost an entire army on their own (according to reports)

Rise of Nations hands down. Most well-tuned and deep RTS ever.

On DoW II, I was horrified when I saw the first gameplay trailer. It looks like they turned it into company of heroes but even worse, i.e. pure micro'ing of a half-dozen units with the dumb squad mechanics. Might as well just play DOTA...

You should check out the newer videos and read up on the London meet re: DoW II...

COH, DOW, TA/SC, Civ series are probably my short list of best strategy game(series) of all time.

For pure strategy I'd love some good computer wargames, but so few of those being may now a days, and many that are are being done more along the lines of EU/Emperor series vice the roots of the actual boardgame.

Command and Conquer: The First Decade
Command And Conquer: Tiberium Wars
Age Of Empires 3 / The War Chiefs / The Asian Dynasties

CoH is really the last huge game for me.

Now that doesn't mean I have anything bad to say about C&C3 or Red Alert 3. In fact, I absolutely love RA3's CO-OP mode, I think it's very well implemented. However CoH just had something special, really enjoyable engine, really enjoyable game mechanics, story and everything just kind of ties it all together. I think I just loved the tank combat too much.
