Not correct! There is a 939 3400+, its a newcastle and runs at 2.2ghz, the only difference from it and the 3500+ newcastle is it runs 800fsb instead of 1000fsb. It's a fairly rare OEM chip (can't buy it retail) but does exist. And overclocking vs. the 3000+ will depend on luck of the draw, if you get a good 3000+ it will clock better than the 3400+. but is you get a bad one the 3400+ will clock higher.

If the 3000's a winchester, I'd try overclocking that assuming your board can handle the higher FSB.
