yes, OCZ powersupplies are good, i use the Powerstream 520w and if you have the money i would definately reccommend it.

I also have a few sets of OCZ memory here... 2x1G of the 3200EB and 2x512 of the 3200 Plat rev. 2 with TCCD

i guess our rigs are similar, save for the fact that i have a cascade on my cpu and a singe phase on the gpu...

It's 18A for Mobo/CPU/add-on cards and 18A for extra connectors (HDs, Opct drives, GPU molex connector etc...)

Man, you do not need to contemplate so much over a PSU.

Yes, a PSU is important, but not many PSU's in that price range are going to suck.

Settle on the fact you are going to get one of a few brands.....

OCZ, Fortron, Seasonic, Antec, Zippy, etc. and just pick one based on your budget and highest possible voltages.

I have an OCZ 450W ModStream and it powers my system beautifully.

Exactly, plus 450W+ is overkill for most systems. 350-400W of quality PSU will power most any rig out there short of dual CPUs, massive RAID arrays, and SLI 6800 Ultras.

No I tossed that in because it's true. Why not save some money and get what you need instead of blindly picking the most powerful thing you can afford.

Close, but you should make the distinction to 12v amps since she has a current gen system. I have a 450w PSU from an old server that has a very weak 12v rail (14a). And they still sell em.
