which one would be better to list on the resume?

I just finished a contractor role and I need to list it on the resume.

The problem is that, I think being a "contractor" carries some negative connotation in my industry. Hiring managers in my industry aren't that familiar with contracting roles. I want to reduce any negative bias as much as possible.

I currently have:

X Company (Contract)

or should I list it as X Company (6 month Contract)?

or should I list it as X Company (Contractor)?

I know it might not matter much, but to the hiring managers who aren't used to contractors who have no jobs at the moment, I want to reduce the negative impact as much as possible and get interviews for FT permanent positions.

I've only ever had one contract position and I listed it as : X Company (Contracted)

My next employer didn't take issue with this.

I have lived by contracts the past 10 years. After the name of the client I have the word Contract
