FX5200 pwns with new drivers.
Really. I have a PCI one and can play UT2k4, HL2 and Halo (as well as some others) at 1024x768, medium settings.

"pwns" is stretching the truth somewhat. "Sucks slightly less" would be more accurate.

As a 4Ti (specifically, a Ti4200) and FX5200 owner, I'd take the 4Ti. While it's true that the FX is DX9 capable, it struggles in DX9 games, and you'd be better off just running the DX8 path with one anyway.

However, this might not apply to the games you play. Why not playtest both cards beforehand? You've already got them, after all.

Those Ti's are great overclockers, I had a nice PNY 4200 that would do 4600 speeds no problem, definitly a keeper over the peg-legged FX.

ti4 no doubt. my friend got a fx5200 thinking it was better than my old ti4600... big mistake. the 5200 slower than the ti4 series.

The Ti4400 is faster but it won't play BF2 at all, while the FX5200 will play it on lowest settings and still lag. I'd still get the Ti4400 despite that, as the FX5200 is too slow to be considered playable anyways.

I played doom3 with my Ti4200 at 1280*1024 medium settings with some variables tweaked to high and it played great. I had to drop my resolution during the Guardian boss map, but otherwise it played fine.

Geforce 4 Ti4400>>>>>>>>>>Geforce FX5200

There is no comparison. Only recently has the Geforce 6200, a low end card, been able to even match the 4400. Also, the Geforce 4's had much better IQ than any of the FX series cards.

Dont even think twice. DX9 means nothing, the 5200 isn't fast enough to take advantage of it.

I'd keep the GF4 over the FX5200 as well. However, both cards will be inadequate for the latest titles. Even on the lowest settings.

A GF4 will play BF2, smoothly too. It'll just look like crap. Google TatniumD3D.
