Which one of these Acer and HP should I go for?

I hate having to go to a link to see what it is being asked about. But maybe thats just me. Especially when i have to dig threw the site to find the exact item.

Only real differnce between the 2 is that the HP comes with more RAM. On top of that HP offers better overall customer support so the HP is the unit of choice here.

actually they both have 3gb of ram (that link shows a diff config than what i saw in store). Here's the differences as far as I can tell:

Acer uses DDR3 vs. DDR2, more portable (14" vs 17"), has bluetooth
HP has higher resolution (1.3MP vs 1MP), probably better sound system (Altec Lansing) and more comfortable keys.

I went to the stores and played with both. The Acer showed a Vista rating of 3.4 while the HP a 3.5. I dunno if this is a true reflection of the performance of the system as a whole though.

Also, which one would be more reliable?

Which one would you get and why?
 
You just cited a H-U-G-E difference. 14" vs. 17" The answer, in my view, is predicated on your intended use. If it is a replacement desktop - HP. If you intend to use it on the road or in a backpack - Acer!
