Which one is the best free HTML editor ?

eww, dopepad leaves all those little nasties. + it has size limitation issues. + it has no advanced features. HW

Notepad is fine for HTML. It's pretty much just english with tags. For actual programming, you might want something a little more geared to the language.

My grandaddy always used to tell me how hard he had it back in the 30's. Before they had computers, programming had to be done all by hand!! And my family has passed down the lore of my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great grandfather Zeb, who had to do all his programming on a papyrus scroll:Q. Thank the Lord for technology, I'm glad those days are long gone.

This file is too large for Notepad to open. Would you like to use Wordpad to read this file?
I hate when that happens!

nothing is faster, everywhere, and as powerfull as vi. It just takes a little bit of extra time getting used to the way it works. but then it's awesome. Nothing else(going beyond just html) can open a 150MB logfile and take you to the place you want to go quicker. with each keystroke line search/ character search. edit. replace you fell like your in a concerta and conducting a masterpiece. to me it's not only an editor it's artwork of human/computer production wraped all in one.
just you and the keystrokes, hands never having to leave or never running into limitations, like a well tuned sports automobile huging each breathtaking turn on a twisted road of editing pleasure. Ahhh no other editor will ever come close.
