Which one is better GEforce4 ti or Quadro2

i believe the Quadro was made for 2D apps like CAD and things like that.

It's also a lot more expensive. I dunno how it performs with 3D things like games and such.

If you're playing games, then the GF4 is better.

Quadro is for professional 3D dev where you need the most accurate rendering, not the best speed. GF4 ti will smoke the Q2 in games for a lot less money. Just stay away from the GF4 _MX_ it has less rendering features than a GF3 ti.

Right. The GF4 smokes the Quadro in gaming, but for apps like Lightwave, you'll want a Quadro2.

The GeForce4 MX's are basically GeForce2's with a couple more useless features.

Quadro2 uses the exact same GPU as the GF2. I've even heard of people who have flashed the Bios and done a little soldering to make their Geforce2 into a Quadro2.

Quadro's are strictly for CAD and professional 3D apps though. The peeps that use these cards buy thousands of dollars of computer equipment tailored to run one or two specific programs.
