Here is some more information since there is a lot of things you are asking about:

I have seen both phones, Its hard to decide, one of the "Turn Offs" is Steve Jobs and the Death Grip Restrictions they have with the IPhone, No Flash, Jobs has got a "Burr up his butt against Adobe" so what do you do? you punish all the I Phone Users, No Flash-

I agree, Steve Jobs is a douche - however the phone roxx. The death grip thing is a non-issue if you use a case, if you don't want to use a case it might be an issue. There are other things you can use though.

You can use flash if you jailbreak, its called "Frash" - look it up. I've had it for several weeks now and honestly - I don't see the point of needing flash on your phone. I have yet to find a single use for it. But regardless, its there.

Both Phones are absolutely Breathtaking, Gorgeous and state of the art-

I agree both phones are great, just depends on your taste and - with some of the other things you show below, its a tough choice for you.

Another- I was told that with the Droid X, the phone can be "Unlocked" with a call to the vendor through your provider at no charge- with Apple, if you unlock your IPhone you get threats from Apple-
I have heard that if you have problems with a phone, Verizon is friendly to deal with, Not so at AT&T, more like your dealing with Gansters.

Any help or Guidance would be appreciated, also can the Droid X be used in Europe or the Middle East (Israel)-

Not sure where you heard these things but they are both wrong. With the droid, the only other network you would be able to use it on assuming you can unlock it (maybe someday you will be able to) would be sprint.

However, the iPhone4 will be able to be used anywhere in the world. Yes I'm serious. With a few very small exceptions. Europe and the middle east all have several GSM networks. All you have to do is jailbreak your phone, download the unlock, and then buy a pre-paid SIM wherever you travel to. Slip it in the iPhone4 and you are set.

I know dozens of people personally, and not just online - who have traveled the world with their iPhone with NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. Saying Apple would "threaten you" just shows the spread of misinformation in regards to the iPhone that proliferates the net. Complete Bullshit.

Wrong. The unlock for the new iPhone has been out for several weeks now. You can unlock any iPhone 4 that hasn't been updated to 4.0.2 (unless you backed up your SHSH blobs to revert back to 4.0.1) to work on any GSM network in the entire world.

The Droid X on the other hand is irrelevant since those countries don't use CDMA

Thanks for the correction. You are right, but I will say that every iPhone 4 that you can buy right now in a US store (Apple or AT&T) will be on 4.0.2 and will not have saved SHSH blobs. So while are correct, getting an unlockable iPhone 4 isn't easy or cheap.

Again, look at the Captivate. The unlock codes are actually on the phones themselves...

What I have found is the average user would end up preferring the iPhone. If you tinker with your phone then the DroidX *could* be better. Depends on what you want to do with your device.

Actually, they are still on 4.0.1 according to forums around the net - at least for now. Although if the OP is serious about the iPhone - I would jump on them now as the current stock is probably OK, but for how long? Who knows.

You will get the "3194 error" because Apple doesn't sign 4.0.1 anymore, unless you saved your SHSH blobs. Anyone who updated to 4.0.2 and didn't save their SHSH blobs for 4.0.1 can no longer go back to 4.0.1.

Frankly, if you are jailbreaking you shouldn't be updating your firmware. And you should know about SHSH blobs, its all very simply - a little bit of reading around the net on jailbreaking should be enough to educate you.

As I said though - most of the recent purchases have still had 4.0.1 loaded according to various forums I read around the net. However, its only a matter of time before phones come with 4.0.2 preloaded so if you want an iPhone4 and want it jailbroken right now buy right now. Otherwise you will have to wait until 4.1 is out and jailbroken

Ah, now I understand.

When iTunes verifies your restore for your phone, it 'phones home' to see if you are allowed to restore to the version you are requesting.

Quick note, it appears they have figured out a way to downgrade from 4.0.2 to 4.0.1 even if you don't have SHSH blobs saved. Meaning that if you went iPhone 4 and happened to get one preloaded with 4.0.2 you could downgrade any way to get it jailbroken, unlocked and all that.

http://thebigboss.org/2010/08/29/402-to-401-downgrade-possibility

Link says untested but on other forums people have confirmed it works.

4.02 is already preloaded on all the ip4.
It would be great if you can revert it back to 4.01.
I need to get myself an unlocked ip4 in 1.5 months.

Read up on that link and its a hit or miss and the hit is only on the 3gs.
Apple to release ios 4.1 soon and hopefully a jailbreak and unlock will come out soon afterward.
Either that or I have to find myself an overpriced ip4 with ios 4.01.

I didn't see that first update but the second update looks promising:

Update #2: Finally got to the bottom of this, thanks to Saurik who clarified it for me. It seems that more shsh are on file and even some of you that havent ever jailbroken and just got a new iphone may actually have an shsh on file. It’s definitely worth a try to set up Saurik’s signature server in your hosts file and try to restore that way. You may get lucky and get a downgrade even on a new device.

Just use Att's 30 day return policy and see if you actually have dropped calls and if the lack of flash actually does affect your user experience. Both of these things are potentially nonissues.

Yay, Apple announced ios 4.1
This should give the dev team plenty of time to work on unlocking the ip4.

Maybe you should buy a DS if you want a mobile device for gaming? There are plenty of decent games for Android that don't require you to pay, AstroCommander, andBattleship, HamsterClimb, Toss-It, etc. And that doesn't begin to touch the multitude of free casual 'time waster' games.

Well games for the DS are WAY more expensive, you have to carry them all around, the screen rez is WAY lower etc.etc.etc....

The iphone and ipod touch are outselling all other portable gaming devices plus they can of course be used for other things. It makes little to no sense to spend the money on a DS or DSi at this time.

To wit, my 9yo daughter rarely touches her DS since she got an ipod touch last Xmas. My 5yo daughter begs to borrow the ipod much more than the DS. The DS is likely going to the "bay" and I'll be getting them both a new ipod Touch this Xmas so they won't fight.

Plus the cost difference will be made up after 4 or 5 game purchases. I need only purchase a game or app once and it can be used on all the phones or ipods. I get many, many games and apps free when they do free app promotions.

There are WAY more good games for Apple devices than Android and that isn't likely to change since Android's "openness" lends itself to having a lot of crap apps and games.

Stevo's tight fist here helps more than hinders.

Plus with the new itunes update, Apple TV and all the streaming with the Apple devices it's the way to go.

Unless you just want a phone and nothing more.

The games on the Apple App store aren't even comparable with DS games. DS game cost more cus they are fuller and better games.

Another post proving you know very little about the iPhone. There are quite a few very rich and FULL feature games on the iPhone.

First off, if you are a fan of RPG's there is both Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy 2. Then there is a game by Squaresoft called "Chaos Rings" this game is fan-freaking-tastic and is basically a full 40-60+ hour RPG that you would expect from Squaresoft. Try reading a review of this game and tell me it isn't a great game if you are into RPG's or Squaresoft type final fantasy games.

There are also action RPG's along the lines of baldur's gate such as Dungeon Hunter which is also a very good game and more along the lines of Diablo or, more recent example Torchlight. This game is at least 20 hours of gameplay and only 3$ I believe. Then there is Zenonia and Zenonia 2 which are 2 very good games in the same vein.

There is Madden NFL 11 if you like madden this is as full featured as the DS version, then there is also GTA: ChinaTown wars also as full featured as a DS game. There is Street Fighter 4 which is the complete game like you would see on the console versions.

This is only the beginning too and a few examples I have given. Archetype is a full online FPS that is very fun and you play with people all across the world. Its basically Counter Strike on the iPhone. The DS doesn't have any FPS's that are even close.

Coming soon is the new game from ID software, Rage which will be the full version on the iphone running at 60 fps

and according to Carmack "kills" anything on the Xbox or PlayStation 2.

Watch the video and compare it to the other versions of Rage and tell me that isn't impressive.

Epic just announced a game for the iphone based on the Unreal 3 engine and promises more in the future here

I have both a DS and iPhone and out of all the games I've played recently, I've gotten as much or more out of a few on my iPhone then I did on my DS. And looking at the things that are to come - I probably won't even buy the N3DS. No point when I can play my RPG's and FPS's on my phone.

Just because there are a few games that are long doesn't make it comparable to the games on the DS or the quality. It's starting out, it's still not at the same quality. There are very long games and good games on Android, does that make it just as good as a DS? No. The fact is, you can still get better games, and more of them on the DS. Oh and of course you have to start out your post with a bash. Typical.

Whatever you don't have a clue of what you speak. Chaos rings is the best RPG I've played on any platform, mobile or otherwise, in the last couple years, and many people agree with me. Games like Rage are the exact same version as what will be released on PC and consoles but on the iPhone.

Madden and GTA and games like that are also the same as they are on other platforms, how can it be better? Some people would argue that the iPhone version is better because its easier to play and its available on a device that is always on you.

The app store has some good games but it's not even in the same league as the DS library.

The iPhone has a great games lineup, but its not a true gaming device mainly because of its controls. Although I do admit that developers are quite clever with just using an all touch interface.

With a jailbroken iPhone, you can at least use a Wiimote controller (including classic controller) for emulated games. Of couse it doesn't work on the road, but is cool for fooling around at home.
