Hitachi has fast drives... data off the platter is faster than most. Also will wanna check out the maxtor Maxline 3 drives... big capacity, 16MB buffer and SATA2. Big performance... probably 3 year warranty I am guessing.

SATA 2 does not mean it will automatically preform upto even ATA 100
