Which one 8800GTS (G80) or 9600GT

Was wondering what card would give better performance at 1280x1024 with some AA and AF, the 8800GTS (G80) or the 9600GT?

The 9600GT is minutely faster overall with AA and AF, depends on the game.

320meg gts loses by a fairly large margin on avg. 640meg is like 1-3% pts slower on avg according to the shootout review (cant recall what site offhand).

And 9600gt much better for SLI than either of the other two... also less power and heat.

Well I can get a 8800GT for $160 512 meg version, so I think that would be better than the 9600GT...

Yes, yes it would. If ya play anything more taxing than COH or HGL.

@ those games I can run max with fps just above where I like to keep them (on 9600gt). 8800gt would give me a lil more breathing room. Anything more taxing than those two and 8800gt becomes a very good choice.

I think I'll go with the 8800GT its only $159 and the 9600GT is $149 so its only a $10 difference...

I think that ones sold out atm... the palit @ 127$ is the best deal if it is.
