Which of these would you choose for a kid's room?

Plasma or lcd? And would 1080p on a 42"inch matter or not?

Man, kids aren't that picky. That 720p Vizio should be fine. All they will want to do is watch TV and play games. If it can display a color picture they'll be ecstatic with a 42" screen. But take into consideration, plasmas use a big sheet of glass and are usually heavier. Just make sure you secure that thing so it doesn't tip over and fall on your kid's head.

Yeah, while my older kid can discern the difference between SD and HD, she doesn't really care.

And she'd be psyched about getting a TV in her room at all, but it's still not gonna happen 😛

Not sure I'd ever want my daughter to have a TV in her room while she lives under my roof. There are plenty of family TVs available. If I did, it would be the absolute cheapest one available in the size that works.

I'm 22 and I don't have my own tv. Shit, my parents just got their largest TV ever and it's a 32" samsung. You got some spoiled kids.

Yes they are spoiled but my youngest(5) had 350 of his own money he put towards it. I paid the rest since he had saved his b-day money and had really wanted a big tv for his room

1024x768 on the plasma? Am I stupid or should it be 1366x768 or 1280x720 for 720p?
All 720p plasmas (which meant, in fact, *all plasmas* at one point) used to have rectangular pixel configurations like that one.
