Which of these two RAM would you get?

I'd recommend the G.Skill personally out of those 2 choices. but IMO I would take a note from the corsair and get a fan the memory regardless of choice.

To answer your question, the G. Skill.

My own answer is neither, you can get 4GB for a lot less, even from the same companies.
4GB can be had for less then $100.

Ahh, do you have any recommendation for compatible RAM with the MSI P7N Diamond? (DDR2 1066)

Your motherboard may list DDR2-1066 as its memory standard, but all that means is that it will accept up to DDR2-1066. Save yourself some money and get DDR2-800. With a Q6600, there won't be any loss in performance.

I was under the impression that 800 would not work? I actually have a pair of:
Patriot Viper 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model PVS24G6400LLK

That is sitting in the box waiting to be shipped back to Newegg because my friend told me it would not work with the board. It'd be great news if it can!!!

It will 1000% work in that board. Don't bother sending it back - period - you won't be better off with the other products if you have something bought already.

You can just give them to me for some testing if you want 😛
