Which of these two pretty high end systems would you choose?

I have decided to keep one of the following setups; which one would YOU pick. Going to sell the other stuff.

Option 1

Tyan Tiger MP
Dual 1.4ghz Processor
512mb ECC pc2100
GF3 Ti500
SB Live
Razer 2k
431w PS
24x cdrw
52x sony cdrom
19" monitor
wd 30gb ata 100 7200rpm

Option 2

Abit KR7-Raid
XP 1600+
512mb ECC pc2100
GF3 Ti500
SB Live
Razer 2k
431w PS
24x cdrw
54x sony cdrom
19" monitor
wd 30gb ata 100 7200rpm

Really don't need two kickass sytems, going to part out and sell one of them, get a $k or so back and put it away. Which one would YOU pick?

In my opinion, it depends what applications you mainly use. If you are using photoshop, or running a web server, or any applications that can actually USE the dual procs, I would certainly go for that. If you're mostly using it for applications that don't support MP, sometimes the overhead of the dual-proc system can cause it to be slower than a similarly equiped uni-proc setup.

Thanks guys. I am leaning towards the dually, because it will definetly have a better resale value when I want to get rid of it, and I do a lot of stuff (graphics, etc) that could use the smp.

I would order another 1600+ and use the two of them in the dual system, put one of the 1.4s in the other system to sell, and just sell the other processor alone.

That's a cool option!
