which of these two monitors to get??

I've decided that with the great Dell deals going on, I'm gonna get myself a monitor. I've narrowed it down to two 'budget' monitors, those being the Samsung 955DF and the Viewsonic E90fb. I'm leaning towards the Viewsonic, as I've heard they are better quality, plus it's black and matched my case ;-). I can get the Samsung shipped for right at $200, but of course it's out of stock, so I'd have to wait a little bit. On the other hand, the Viewsonic is in stock, and I can get it shipped for $229. What do you guys think?

haven't used the Samsung although i have seen a lot of positive comments on it. I have a viewsonic a90f. looks pretty much the same spec wise except for the e90 can do better refresh rates. I am completely satisfied with the a90f. I would think the e90fb would be even better and you will get it for less than i paid for mine as well. If you want it right now i would go for the viewsonic if waiting isn't a big deal you have time to check into the samsung a little more to see if it is worth waiting for.

i would also go with the viewsonic. the refresh rate on the 955df is horrible even at low resolutions. i have two samsungs, they are good but not great.

for $240 you can get the compaq P910, yeah the name sucks but the warranty is great as are the specs... it's a mitsubishi diamondtron tube...

just go to cdw.com and type P910 comes to about $240 2-5 day FEDEX ground

For $200+ I would get a 15" LCD.

Once you go LCD, you never go back.

A 19" CRT is going to radiate your eyeballs.
