Which of these KT333 motherboards to get?

It seems like the consensus here is that the Epox 8k3a is the board to get.. however I've been unable to find it in Canada yet and I have an emergency.

Which of the following would you go for:
SOLTEK SL-75DRV5
MSI MS-6380E KT3 ULTRA
GIGABYTE GA-7VRXP
ASUS A7V333 KT333

The ASUS is considerably more expensive than the others. All I'm looking for is stability & reliability.

(it's for an Athlon 1.4)

thanks

ps: any recommendations of a fan no worse than a dragon orb 7000rpm or a cak38 that's quieter than these two? 🙂)

ive heard lots of good things about the gigabyte kt333... i would either go with that one, or the soltek

i also like the asus board, but as you already pointed out it costs alot, and although its a good board, its not that good 🙂

i'm having a tough situation in choosing the soltek or the gigabyte. i just want which one has better OC'ing capabilities

Newegg's been selling a bunch of bioStar M7VIF KT333 mob's but I haven't seen/read any f/back on these mob's yet.

Gigabyte or MSI, have both and they are equal in most areas. Gigabyte has the advantage of on-board lan and the Raid contoller can be used as standard IDE ports easily.

I don't know about the others but I just assembled a new system with the Asus A7v333. The setup was flawless and it is running like a champ.

I went thru the same problem as you, needed a MB now!!!!

I went with the SOLTEK SL-75DRV5. And I even choose this over the Epox MB, Whom I've used before. It will be here wednesday, So I can't really give you any feedback on it.

Good luck,

This board specifies Realtek ALC650 (AC-Link) for sound. Is this hardware audio (comparable to seperate sound card)? Or is it just crap software CPU-eating garbage? Also, does anybody sell this yet?

If I have to buy one of the 333 mobo I will pick the new Shuttle Ak35gtsv2, the board is a steal, second I will get the Soltek V5. Since I got the Soltek V2 Kt266A I wont get these 333 mobo but I wont spend money in Asus o the big brands.
