Which of these is better?

It's going to end up in our living room. Looking for something to put papers, phone books, and other random stuff in.

i like the color of 1 and the drawers of 2. but it really depends on what your living room looks like

I'm not a huge fan of either one but I prefer 1 over 2. I don't really like the window pane style on the doors on 2.

Other living room furniture is a medium-light oak.



I'm open to other suggestions of similiar pieces. I found those online; haven't found anything that's a mix of file cabinet and storage locally.

Number one is nice but it looks like it belongs in a bedroom. I'm go with 2 for a living room.
