That or Purdue is too good for him. Looks like he listed a bunch of mailings he got. Hope he realizes that everyone gets the same mailings.

I'm opting for "Purdue is too good for him."

AgaBooga, go to Rhodes, get sucked into the hell-hole that is Tennessee. It will corrupt you, disturb you, and utterly drive you to suicide. And I will be happy. Because I recommended that you come to Tennessee. :)

Where the fck did I ever say I'm too good for Purdue? Please link me to that.
You told me that and you told minendo that.

Only time I spole with Minendo was when he IMed me regarding an organic chemistry question, we didn't talk about school beyond that. Could you tell me when I said that to you? My IM keeps logs of all my chatting, I'd be glad to pull it up.
Keep digging your hole tough guy, I know more about you than you can imagine.

So are you going to tell me when I said that or just make comments like that?

Keep in mind that most of the colleges you listed including NYU, Butler, Valpraiso, Miami of Ohio, Brown, Illinois Wesleyan, Brown and several others are private schools, so the costs will be the same whether you're in state or out of state - and by same I mean through the roof.

Public education is a bargain, and it's definitely not lacking, especially if you go to IU or some such Big Ten school.

Yeah, like I'm going to submit to your requests

You were stupid enough to make comments about a school that you might actually have to go to (gasp!) and now it's biting you in the ass.

Edit: I'll change my statement... you were stupid enough to make comments about a school that a good number of people here go to, not necessarily a school that you might go to.

NYU
Brown
University of Chicago

and it's possible to triple major, you'll probably need at least 5 years though.

I don't ever recall making that comment. And mind you, I'd like to go to IU or Purdue, I'd also like to see what other options I have.

Of course you don't... just like you don't ever recall lies you've made on these forums until someone calls you on it (like MacBaine)

I don't think I do. Everyone has some idea where they'd like to be headed, right??? Those are the three subjects I like most, and I figure I'm going to atleast do one major and two minors. Last time I said that on AT, everyone said to do double major and minor in foreign language. I figured, another year or two or even three, I can have a triple major. Right now, it's just an IDEA.

You'll get through a year or two and drop one of them like a hot rock. I'm double majoring and that is going to take up all but 2 or 3 classes from here on out (I'm a soph). I wouldn't even imagine piling more on top of that.

Just wait around end of your junior year, or early senior year. One piece of advice, don't try and over load yourself at first "I'm dual majoring, and I want to minor ... bla bla bla". Get into a college you want to go then decide what you want to do. I don't know how many times ppl make big plans for college and it all falls apart.

Most of the ppl on this board are giving you a hard time because they know from experience and see themselves (years back) what they see in you now. I know these 4 guys that are triple majoring in Architecture, Civil Eng, and Mechanical Eng. They never see sunlight and they all stick to themselves and study day and night.

Start off college and test the water, if you like bussiness go ahead and check it out. If you find that you might want to persue another degree at the same time, take a few cs classes and see if you can handle it.

Thanks for the great advice! I'll take your advice and probably start off with business and a few CS classes on the side. Maybe after I'm done with those I'll go for something else. Oh, and thanks for making a nice reply with bashing me. :D

If want to stay in Indiana and you want to get a business degree, IU is your school, if you can get in.

What school's have you visited.

None, it matters not.

Plus, if you don't respond, schools like Caltech and Duke will pester you with repeated mailings that read "why didn't your espond the previous one" and then send you large posters.

Also, you can't major "business" at some of those schools.

That's a pretty big variety of schools there. Brown and University of Chicago are excellent schools. NYU is alright, too. Some of the others are pretty far behind these schools, especially when compared to Brown or University of Chicago.

And it's true that some schools don't have a 'business' major...maybe Brown, University of Chicago, and NYU would be like that, too.

A lot of people seem to do an econ/CS double major. Not very rare at all...I guess it would also be pretty easy to pick up the Spanish minor if you choose the right courses.

business & cs...might be doable in 4 if you go to summer school. adding a foreign language can easily add 1 - 2 more years of school though.
