Which new games NOT to buy?

I will be buying some new games soon so any new games out there that I should avoid?

Do NOT but 'Gunman Chronicles' - Do NOT believe the hype.

DO buy -

Giants - Citizen Kabuto
Project IGI (Shame about the absence of Multiplayer as the game is awesome)
Sacrifice - Being an FPS freak, RPG's don't seem to float my boat, but this looks superb if you have a GeForce. A lot of effort gone in here.

I can't help on what games not to buy, because I read a lot of reviews before I buy so I usually get the good games.

NOLF is great, I just beat it the other day. I'm on to Deus Ex right now.

I was looking at Giants at BestBuy this week for $35 smacks but I am hesitant only because I heard there is no in game saves. I hate to put in a good hour or so on a level and need to stop to do something and can't save.

Alice- play through the demo first, if you don't mind all the wierd jumps at the end, go ahead and get it.

Collin McRae Rally 2.0- I thought this was gonne be the best rally game ever, but I prefer Rally Masters, V-Rally 2, and Sega Rally 2 by a longshot.

I also read reviews but unfortunately you always get the odd game that does not live up to the expectations of the review,I have also had games that get bad reviews but are actually good games.

nycdude - The levels are small enough to keep you coming back for more. Don't worry about the the lack of 'in game saves'. It's a really amusing game, you'll kill yaself laughing... lol ...Geet me mi Dinnnnaaaa...

I'll second that vote for Gunman Chronicles. I really wanted to like the game, but it comes off looking dirty and feels like an amateur product. I really had to drag through to finish that one. DO get Giants. It's an awesome and refreshing game. Just finished it today.

I saw a preview video for Halo today at a game store.
All I can say is if the game is half as good as this video we are in for a treat.
Talk about great graphics. Light reflecting different colours off the leg amour
and the different planets in the sky. Exhaust trails on the ships.

Then I find out it is due out in 18 months time , great. Apparently the reason is it was going to be a X-box exclusive game then they changed their minds and will be making for the Pc as well.

Giants is worth it even given the save game issue,
but keep in mind Vampire had the same problem and there was a
little program written to fix it eventually.

Anyway all you lose is your men/woman/big monster ( you know what i mean )
all the buildings you created stay apparently I am not up to that stage yet.

There are game saves in Giants. Just not when ever you feel like it. It automatically saves in between "missions" its no big deal, at least not enough to stop you from buying it.

Make sure and play ALICE before you buy it. It has great graphics and cool effects but the gameplay is rather boring, and it just didn't do much for me. From what I've read, many people feel the same way as I do. I have also seen some people who loved it though. That's why they make demos I guess. Try before you buy!

I agree that Gunman Chronicles is not very good. It's a decent game but not very polished. It's just like another Half Life mod.

Where do you get SEGA RALLY 2!?!?!?!?!

It seems only the Dreamcast version exists! I played the Sega Rally 2 Demo, and It rocks! But i can't find the full PC version anywhere! It's not even listed on Sega's website!

HOLF is Sh1t. It was on display at Computer store a few weeks ago with a geForce2 MX on a Duron 600. It Worked fine but The Game it's Self was not entertaining one bit. Dont buy it.

Project IGI was a big disappointment. The story line is great and all BUT DAMNIT SPEND SOME TIME MAKING DIFFERENT BUILDINGS..@#!()@


Alot of the levels are just different terrain with the sam rehashed buildings. You'll go around the game saying, " HEY I SAW THIS OFFICE BUILDING FROM LEVEL 1..!" It's not just like this for a couple of levels BUT THE WHOLE GAME!@!@!

Sega Rally 2 has literally been out for months in Europe or Asia. It is even in english and plays better than the DreamCast version. I'm sure it's out in warez form somewhere.

I thought Project IGI was under rated, but I see your point on the buildings. It isn't the typical first person shooter. you can actually shoot people way far away. I didn't like how ladders were too long, and you couldn't do anything on them but go up and down.
