Which new compact SUV should I get?

rav4 like u mentioned in another thread. got one for my mom and its a nice vehicle. my uncle has the lexus version and is sad he wasted the extra $$$

The Rav4 is the only one I can think of 🙂

I rode around in my gramp's Rav and it's really comfortable.

RAV4 - i'm impressed with the good looks, 24/30mpg, full time 4WD... and <$20k. Not bad at all.

Just did a CRV vs. RAV4 comparison on Honda's site. Pretty comparable but note the CRV is uglier and has a shorter powertrain warranty (36months vs. 60months).

I rode for 10 hours in a CRV over the weekend and it sucked beyond all others, IMHO. The seats suck, the controls are goofy, the road noise was above average.

Old one, I'm guessing. 😉

2003, I believe.

Escape hybrid and the tree huggers will be all over you.

BTW girlfriend has a CR-V and I'm not impressed at all. There havn't been many issures with reliabilatly but it only has 40,000 miles on it, but as far as comfort goes, my mustang feels roomier.

what's the lexus version of a RAV4 ? Don't tell me the RX330... you're talking 100 extra horses here...

Rav4.
I drove one for a couple months, great vehicle.

The older models are a little lethargic, like most toyotas, but it does the job well.

ForesterXT.

Was rated the best compact SUV by Car and Driver and recommended by Consumer Reports. It's also the fastest compact SUV out there.

RAV4 or Equinox.
equinox isn't compact.

It's not? I guess I haven't seen a RAV4 lately - my Dad's Equinox seems small to me.
nah, the equinox is 1ft longer than my car (see sig - it's midsize) and my car is already 1 ft longer than a RAV4.

CRV, I am driving one for several years and ZERO problem. I don't have any problem with comfort, seating, or anythings as other posters said (and they are NOT the owners of the CRV as I am).

OP, why don't you pick two or three that you like and take a test drive. ONLY you can determine what is best for you.
