Which netbook?

Hewlett Packard 110

or

Acer AOD 250

I can get both locally for the exact same price.

They have about the same specs. Which one would be more reliable? It will drive a projector daily and be plugged/unplugged and toted alot.

i had a mini 1000 and its got much better build quality than the acer ones at least on feel.

if they are the same price i'd probably get the hp one. some aod250s only have 3 cell batteries too. costco has the 11.6" acer for 329.99 now though... so that might also be wortha look for the higher res by the way.

I think the HP 110 is the better option. Unless they changed it, Acer's netbooks were a pain in the butt to upgrade memory.

I saw the big AO751h - why didn't they put the full speed 1.6 ghz chip in it? Also all of the local ones have 'vista' on it. . . not what I'd want.

i read a review on this and it is pretty underpowered. its like 1.25 ghz. I was using it at best buy to try out, and it just lags going into places like control panel etc.

there is a review of it on techreport vs the lt3103u (which is what i'm going to buy for myself)

Did they put Win 7 on it (Win7 is much faster than Vista on netbooks...netbook optimized or something, I haven't looked into exactly what), and update to the correct GMA500 drivers (it's not the ones Windows Update gives you)? It's quite snappy. Plays 1080p h264 VC1 and AVC perfectly. 720p youtube too.
