Bowling For Columbine would be a rather good choice, since there indeed seems to be no shortage of cheese doodles who believe Moore's little 'History of America' cartoon that slanders a 132 year-old organization founded by Klan-opposing Union veterans when Moore implies that Klan members migrated to the NRA to escape enforcement of federal anti-Klan laws. Which would mean, according to Moore's interpretation, that these 'closet' Klansmen elected as their president the very same man who was responsible for ruthlessly enforcing federal anti-Klan statutes, forcing them to seek shelter in other organizations such as the NRA.

Makes perfect sense...to the mentally insane.

would be a great choice, unfortunately i dont think we're allowed to do documentaries 🙁

Well, here's a good one. Its called "Conspiracy" and it was a HBO special. It was about the "Wansee Conference" in 1941, where many of the top Nazis met to discuss "a final solution to the Jewish Question". It was scripted partially from the exact minutes taken from the actual meeting. It was pretty good and was pretty accurate, give or take a few points. I mean, if you want something to discuss in a History class, there ya go....that one is ripe for controversy! Good Luck.

Edit: American History...oh....should have read that part. Not sure if this qualifies....

You're in luck, since BFC is hardly a documentary. The aforementioned gross distortion of the historical record in BFC's History of America cartoon, among numerous other instances of Moore's fictionalizing, prove it.

JFK. Although only being able to give a speech for just 10 minutes might not be enough, since in the 3 and half hours of JFK, about a 1,000 page novel is thrown at the viewer.

Damn, beat me to it. Of course I was gonna go w/more a one-line type of deal. kinda like:

Don't worry about it. The Matrix has a sturdier base in reality than BFC does.

Lethal

EDIT: On topic. What about Black Hawk Down, A Bridge Too Far, A Beautiful Mind, or Spider-man... 😉

Lawrence of Arabia would be good right now... He basically founded what is Iraq/kuwait/Jordan today.. and was quite an intersing character.

Patton
Midway
Tora Tora Tora, which was filmed from the perspective of both the Americans and Japanese(Pearl Harbor)
