I am looking for movies that has the most Roman military battles...can someone please suggest me some other than gladiator 😀

Can someone please tell me which Rome tv series episode has the most battle and war? I need it to do a project for school 😀

Its too long and too many episode to rent. I need the episode with the most battle scene to compare its historical accuracies.

Either the first episode or S2E06 (episode 18 overal) if you want to compare it to specific battles. Rome was a drama, they didn't film that many battles.

So it is rome second series Episode 18?

The biggest battle they showed was Phillipi, I'm not sure what episode it was, it should be easy to find. Not all that accurate, they took a lot of liberties with Brutus and Cassius.

Play Rome: Total War. It's fun and educational.

I'll second that. The game is also accurate enough that the History Channel used it in a show called Decisive Battles to recreate some battle events.

Rome, the HBO series, was the most accurate portrayal of the period of any movie or film ever made and that includes the military tactics.

Ben-hur for naval.

Spartacus for infantry.

Otherwise, I haven't seen many Roman/pre-medieval battles in movies. Guess extras are too expensive and CGI is 'better' nowadays. If you can, I say you just get Rome: Total War and set-up a skirmish🙂.

Just go rent the 300. Lots of big battle scenes in that... Although not exactly Rome...

Other than the fact that none of the people involved were Romans, and the movie was not exactly trying to being realistic, yeah, sounds like exactly what he's looking for.

Bun-Hur had some naval battles. Spartacus isn't a bad option either, but as others have said, HBO's Rome series is pretty much the most accurate depiction of Roman life.

What amazes me is how realistic the HBO series is in terms of accurately representing the legions of Pre-Imperial Rome. I'd have expected from the show square card board box shields and spray painted shiny plate armor from Middle Imperial Rome.

Well done to them in that regard.
