I have E7300 with DG31PR motherboard. I want to upgrade my motherboard to support DDR3 RAM. Could anyone suggest me which intel motherboard does support E7300 processor and DDR3 RAM?

775 sockets for one thing.

Just search for 775 socket motherboards. You will find a few but not many over 1333 DDR3. Probably will also need to buy a video card. I have one computer with the E7200 and an Intel DG35EC with integrated HD Video and it uses DDR2800 and no HDMI. Actually the HD is only SD or 720p.

I just purchased an Intel DZ68DB with both the HDMI and displayport video. I am not using any video card. The difference in the quality on the HDMI 1080p was night and day. Looks great on my 40" Samsung HDTV.

A second gen core 2 duo would work much better. That would give you integrated video also. Something like a G630 would be nice.

The one in my sig does. Like was said above, just look for socket 775 boards and then read about the ram.

DDR3 RAM equals new Mobo, none support E7300 chip.

I would evaulate the reason for needing DDR3 RAM. For example if you are gaming you don't need it and for programs that do need DDR3 you will be CPU limited.

My guess would be: DDR3 is cheaper than DDR2, and may also be re-usable in some future system build.

You may see support for for the Intel® Core™ 2 Duo on 945 chipset, 965 chipset, the 3 series chipset, and the 4 series chipset based boards. For DDR 3 support you are going to be looking at a few of the "3" series boards and most of the "4" series boards.

I think the better question is, why would you bother?...

Sell the outdated C2D and upgrade to an i3 or i5 instead of wasting money for new old gen chipset mobo for something that probably has very little impact.

The longer you wait to sell off the C2D, the less and less money it will be worth. I sold my E6400 and an E8300 not too long ago for close to $100 each on ebay. You should be able to easily sell that off and swap it for an i3-2120 or similar which is a great chip.

Not worth it. You can get an Ivy Bridge CPU, mobo, and RAM for just over $300 if you have a Microcenter nearby, and it will be twice as fast and use less electricity.

Gigabyte even makes ones that support either DDR2 or DDR3, they'll have a "C" suffix after the board chipset like EP45C. That being said I don't believe it would be worth doing since I'm fairly certain you won't see any performance gain paring your E7300 with DDR3 which is what your interested in I'm guessing. The only advantage is DDR3 is cheaper these days, but if you're going to go through the trouble of a whole new motherboard you may as well upgrade to something newer Imho anyway.
