So, which motherboard? I was thinking the third one on this page: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/MSI_Socket_939.html

Would this be a good choice?

It's an okay board, but the MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum would be a better choice.

It looked to me like the MSI K8N Platinum has been having a significant number of problems. Does anyone know if they're fixed?

Which one? K8N Neo Platinum or K8N Neo2 Platinum or K8N Neo4 Platinum?

Built close to 500 systems off the K8N Neo4 Platinum, nothing went wrong.

ya i read the official thread too. you sure about what you say kensai? I'm abit worried because it seems there's alot of problems with this board :S (i may purchase it for my first build). like asearchforreason said, the official thread is very intimidating.
