Which motherboard for new system?

Hi all , thanks in advance for any advice given . As it says I'm building a new system and thought I'd start from the motherboard . Things move pretty fast and the knowledge I had remained in the dim past of the Siclair Spectrum !
So I've had a quick look and would like to build something "tasty" , the "Fatality" board seemed to look O.K.

Is it any good ? Are there better ? What works well with it ?

Not specifically that motherboard , it just seemed to have plenty of features and support newer technologies . The "opposition" would have similar products but it's very difficult to discern between them .
Also want to avoid buying something that looks good on "paper" but has known compatability/reliability issues .
