ABIT TH7II
Asus P4T-E

Thanks

There is no sure thing with overclockng. My 1.6a will post and run stable at 133 fsb without raising the cpu or memory voltage, but you may not be so lucky. I'm using the epox 4sda+ with 1 stick of micron and 1 stick of something else (some unknown brand of ddram). The TH7-II may require a bios upgrade to post with the northwood, unless your vender sends you a board with the latest bios. I would use samsung rdram for the best chance of high fsb overclocking. On my system, the limiting factor is my modem; it disconnects when I set the memory timings too aggressive or the fsb higher than 136.

Some P4T-E's ship with older Clock Generators that can;'t hit 133fsb for nothing, so I'd go with TH7II any day. They're both same stability, and even with the newer clock generators, the Th7II is a tad better ocer than P4T-E. Good choice by going RDRAM! Just a tip, go Samsung/Corsiar RDRAM. They almost allways can hit 533fsb (PC1066) speeds.
