Which Monitors Should I Buy? Please Help Me Decide

I am facing a dilemma on what I should buy. Either a 27 inch 1080p GSync 144hz monitor or a 40 inch Vizio 4K TV (Good for gaming 13.5ms input lag) and a 24 inch 1080p Gsync monitor.

What would you buy? I also enjoy playing console exclusive games just as much as I enjoy PC games so if I go with the first option then console games will be less enjoyable for 7 months since I would prefer playing console games on a bigger screen since they are only 60hz anyway.

So what would you choose? If you were in my situation.

Cost is not an issue for me but I won't have any left over if I go with the tv+monitor option.

27 inch Gsync: 945$ CAD total
TV+24 inch Gsync:1169$ CAD total

Either way, I will be replacing the gaming monitor I get with an ultra wide monitor that I will by at the end of 2017, possibly Jan 2018 when ultra wide 3440x1440 144hz GSync monitors are available with display port 1.3.

Basically I will use my ultra wide monitor for 3rd person/1st person shooters (planetside 2 , warhammer 40k eternal crusade) and possibly some RTS games like sins of a solar empire rebellion

I will use the TV for console gaming, single player RPG's, star trek online and to watch movies and use it as a computer monitor when not gaming.

I don't think either choice sounds that appealing. What about a 32" 4K Gsync monitor? :D

I have a EVGA GTX 680 Classified Edition 4gb, I can't handle 4k gaming at high frame rates. I will be upgrading once a 1080ti edition is out so that will probably be by April 2017 and I will buy a ultra wide 144hz gsync gaming monitor, probably a 35-40 inch one, whatever they have out at the time in December 2017 or Jan 2018.

There is a prototype right now so it should be available to buy next year, there are also more ultra wides in development.

Aha, perhaps this thread is more appropriate for next year then? Seems a bit preemptive...

Well the 1st option seems to have won, I could even get the 4k Vizio TV and a 27 inch Phillips Gaming 144hz GSync monitor but still, I think it would be a stupid decision. Buying a 4k TV when there are better ones out there and only using it for 7 months then buying a better one in 7 months is a total waste of money. I have never used a TV/Monitor for such a short span.

My main now is a Sony 50 inch W800b 1080p 60hz TV (Has 22-24ms input lag on Game mode) and my secondary is a 32 inch Irico 1080p TV (has horrible input lag). I am selling the TV to buy the 27 inch gaming monitor, I am satisfied with this TV but I just wanna check out GSync/144hz and lower input lag.
