MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum, or its smaller brother, MSI K8N Neo4-F... Although not SLI (but that's a feature I wouldn't spend money on IMHO... I just don't like the fact that a single 7800GTX can outperform a SLI setup with 2 6800GT's worth $ 800 most of the time..), they offer nice overclocking capabilities (mine went to 331 "FSB" with a 3000+ Venice) and have a lot of features...

I don't have personal experience with them, but I'd say that AsRock probably isn't very overclocker friendly (maybe that's changed now, I don't know!), but I always thought their aim was just to make mainboards that are stable, and make them as cheap as possible (a bit like ECS).

I've had GigaByte mainboards (although not for Socket 939), and I was very happy with them, they always proved to be very stable... so I'd consider GigaByte too...

Other brands that you'll certainly be happy with (for overclocking): DFI, Abit, EPoX, ASUS... if you pick one of those, you shouldn't run into troubles... Just stay away from the K8T890 mainboards... Their feature set isn't that rich, their overclocking capacities aren't as good, and performance is mostly below the one of nForce4...

Dude why would you go with that board????

Go with something less expensive that's just as good if not better.

I would look at DFI Ultra nForce4 boards or the Epox 9npa+. You really shouldn't go for SLI in my opinion, if you are going SLI for future expansion it's a waste....when the time comes you are ready to get another card for SLI config there will be single card alternatives that will be faster then two older cards in a SLI setup.

I would check out the 7800GTX from eVGA that comes with the eVGA MOBO, you could get that instead of the 7800GT and the ASUS board and save money with a much nicer video card.

yall are smokin' too much... none other will do for OCing than the DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 SLI-DR ... check out reviews and benchmarks anywhere and you will be blown away by its versatility and power.

only $169.95 and that is $4.95 more than the non-SLI... so why not get SLI?

its not a card its a board, and the box should come with a sticker say 'AnandTech Editors Choice Award" on it, if that tells you anything.

Everyone has offered good suggestions, and you still want to spend 200 dollars on a mobo for some reason...

I suggest the EPoX or the ASUS or even the MSI

Reviews? As in CUSTOMER reviews from the sellers website? Just save yourself some cash and get the EPoX.
