Hi,
Which motherboard should i get to this build
I5-4690k
MSI GTX 970
PSU EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 750W (maybe sli for the future)
Corsair Vengeance - DDR3 - 2x4 GB
Corsair Carbide Air 540 Cube Case
Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB
This is going to be my first build![]()
PSU EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 750W
If you're thinking SLI or CF in the future, I would go for an XFX 850W KM3 BEFX PSU.
Gigabyte SOC Force FTW!!! Unless u plan on using M2 SSD, then its not the best choice, otherwise Gigabytes line is solid! I also like my Asrock OC Formula, great mobo for the price. To be honest, there really isnt that much distinguishing the z97 mobos...
Nice build. I would echo PhillyCheeze and say Z97 from Asus or Gigabyte.
The PSU is OK, but if you are going for a top shelf build grab a Seasonic.
is neweeg a good place to look, because i can see that asus, as rock and gigabyte are rated higher than msi z97 motherboard
i will maybe choose one of the mobos:
ASRock Fatal1ty Z97X Killer LGA 1150 Intel Z97
GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-SLI
ASUS Z97-A LGA 1150
MSI Z97 gaming 5
or maybe ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO (but the price is also higher)
What do u think?
Hahaha. Supernova G2 got a 10/10 rating on Johnny Guru. Seasonic makes barely anything that can compete with it, especially at the same price. SN G2 is among the top PSUs available in the world.
The best bang/buck in Z97 is the ASRock Extreme 6. Great I/O, great power delivery, dual M.2 (1 is ultra M.2). It's the perfect board for $160 USD. I'd take that over any Maximus board. Unless you plan to OC on liquid nitrogen, the EX 6 is the board for you.
Newegg reviews are worthless. 99% of the time when someone gives a low rating it's a problem with their own ignorance, not the part itself. "I plugged 1394 into a USB header and the port caught on fire. 0/5 stars." lmao.
ASRock Fatal1ty Z97X Killer LGA 1150 Intel Z97
GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-SLI
ASUS Z97-A LGA 1150
MSI Z97 gaming 5
From the review you so eloquently misquote "That said, the real competition is from Seasonic."
Haha yeah lmao rofl doofus herpa derp

What do u think?
set ignore_mistersprinkles
Do u think that i should pay a bit more and buy asus z97 pro?
it also has wifi
Do you need wifi?
It's often cheaper to just buy an add on wifi card. The $50.- or so diff between the pro and the -v could buy you two add on wifi cards.
Please note that additional accesory cards may interfere with plans to SLI/crossfire depending on the board layout.
If you intend to game online it is advisable to hard wire your rig
i think that i will use a network cable, so i don't need built-in wifi card. so if i want to sli after 6 months or so, which should i choose?
or should i use single gpu and buy a new one, whenever it gets slow?
Pretty sure all the boards you listed so far are fully capable of SLI. A single GTX 970 is a potent card. I assume you will be gaming? What games? At what resolution will you be gaming?
If you want to get the widest possible opinions regarding video cards there is a section here on AT dedicated to that. http://forums.anandtech.com/forumdisplay.php?f=8
If you are doing a complete build we've also got that covered: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=80121
