Which mobo can do 250 FSB?

Is it a crapshoot, or are there certain mobo models that can hit 250 FSB?
I'm itching to run my mobile higher than 216, and want to get some higher speed memory
I want to squeeze out as much performance as I can, and it won't even cost me much premium to upgrade after I sell the parts I'd upgrade from...so that's why I want to do it
Thanks :)

my abit ic7 max3 did it (posted 265 or 270 once but the cpu couldn't take it and overheated thus messing up the bios and forcing me to clr cmos to get it to boot again, whats new right hehe)
i like the motherboard but there are some voltage fluctuations on the vdimm once you go to and over 2.9v
i kinda don't mind because my memory seems to run best at 2.85v (i had to choose between 2.78v with this board or like 2.94v "actual") so i run 2.78v only crank the mem voltage up when i want fast 1:1 operation above 235 to 245 area on a cool day with like 3.1v or so
but above 3v the voltage constantly sways like .05-.08v at times even with good powersupplies in many cases.
the abit ic7, the max3, the asus board, the epox board maybe all have a few followers that prob got them that high too

but in almost any case with any board you will definately need to find a non-standard way to cool the system if you wish to attain crazy overclocks approaching and passing 250mhz and not fry the motherboard or just never have a stable system, or crank the voltage up in disbelieve till the cpu fry's.
make sure the NB is nice and cool during heavy gaming and stuff at a minimum you gotta have active cooling with a fast 40mm fan or whatever and you should always apply new artic silver to your heatsinks once you verify that the board works, this can in many cases yeild 2 to 3c lower northbridge temps alone

Yeah, unfortunately my board right now only has passive NB cooling
Nice job with the 265 FSB post :)
Two of my roommates have Epox 8rda3+ boards (not the I version like mine, stripped of sata, which I don't need) with active cooling
Perhaps I'll try and persuade them to give 250 a shot ;)

I wish speedfan was a little more helpful in telling me which temps go to what piece of hardware they are monitoring...I know the CPU, and believe another temp is the inside ambience of my case...but I've got a third temp and I'm just dumbfounded as to what it is
even when I used MBM5, I still couldn't figure out what the temp was...it was running at around 20C, and it wasn't my HDDs

In order to do 250fsb i suggest you get 2 x 256 bh-5s and a dfi infinity or lan party board. On another note you cant really compare a nforce 2 board with a p4 board because the p4 guys can easily hit high fsb with higher rated freq ram with looser timings.

While I thank you for the suggestion of the DFI board, I think it is silly for me to downgrade from 1gig of memory to 512mb. I've already got a couple picks of ram that will easily do the job for me at 250 FSB...now I just need that blasted mobo :)
Thanks essassin

one is your cpu temp
the other is your northbridge/system temp
and the one you might not know could be the psu temp :)

Well, I had an Epox 8RDA3+ (just put it into my daughter's system), but the highest it would go was 219 fsb, and still be Prime95 stable. That's why I bought a DFI Ultra Infinity, plus the Infinity has much better bios adjustments, plus it has not one, but three backup bioses. How cool is that? For us overclockers, it's cool as hell. I love that I can keep four different settings, and switch between them very easily, without having to remember exactly what all of the settings were for everything.

I've switch to purchasing DFI's for my Clients that want High FSB...I own both Intel and AMD Lan Party's as well as the Infinity Results. You may have to add a fans on the bridges.

Thanks for the help guys. It seems like I'll be looking into a DFI board very soon :)
Oh, and Soulkeeper. I think you may be right about the third temp being my PSU. It's just about the only thing that runs that cool in my system, so that's probably it :p

Well, I took a look on newegg, and the infinity and lanparty board have the same exact specs, but the lanparty is $50 more
It doesn't even including active cooling...what's up with that?
being able to save different bios configs would be great for me
I hate having to keep changing things back and forth when I want to benchmark something, or it's too warm in the room and I want to run my CPU a bit lower to lower the temps
it's also especially annoying when I clear the CMOS to have to keep re-entering in my configurations

Nice results with that Infinity, LED!

*edit*
found a difference between the lanparty and the infinity...lanparty has a second lan hookup...I guess that explains the name :p
I'll be ordering an infinity pretty soon, and a NB cooling solution along with it. I hope all is well with the future OCing.

Newegg had a P4P800 deluxe for $60 shipped refurb...my last new one hit 278 fsb no issues... :)
