Looking for some thoughts on a potential major systems components swap.

Systems & Function:

YsSMN = backup / gamer / LAN SYS / folding
BHrDx = file & printer server / folding
Kermit = dedicated SMP folder (Ubunto)

Available Mobo Assemblies:

Foxconn A74MX-K / Brisbane 4000+ @ ~3.0GHz
Biostar 939-6100 / Opty 170 @ 2.7GHz
Abit NF-M2 nView / Opty 1210 @ 2.7GHz or higher

So???.. match assembly with system! :D

Well, I think CPU cache has minimal impact on folding but a bit more on gaming.

So I would call -

YsSMN = Opty 1210 @ 2.7-3GHz
BHrDx = Opty 170
Kermit = X2 4000+

But honestly there's no big differences there.

One question - I doubt it, but will that NM-M2 board support PhII? Cause that would give you a major boost in F@H ppd.

Better yet - drop in a few G92 low end GPUs and let em rip. 8800GS/9600GSO is good for 3-4k ppd by itself...
