Town and Country is nice, but it's so damn expensive for a van. $50,000 for a minivan? lol. I looked at honda's site, dodge's site and toyota's site. None of them offer the vans in black. The honda pilot does look nice. That's on my test drive list.

If you are getting a minivan, the Odyssey is by FAR the best.
Where else can you get a 240 hp stock minivan?
Yeah and the Pilot is damn nice also but probably out of price range.

I've seen nothing bad about the Odyssey as of yet except for the fact that it doesn't come in black (heh).
Pilot does come in black....at least in the states it does....I was looking at the light blue color don't ask why I just like the way it looks on da truck....
Only thing I don't like about the Pilot is that the seats don't come out. The XL-7 with 3rd row seat the 2nd and 3rd row comes out. Although the Pilot both 2nd and 3rd row can fold....

If you don't need a to of cargo capacity, the Mazda MPV is a fun one to drive. (and great safety ratings too!!)

The new Sienna I think has fold down 2nd row seats though it looks like a giant Echo or Prius. The Kia Sedona got some very good reviews. My friend has an Odyssey and likes it alot. I was leaning towards one but decided against it and got an SUV instead. Another friend has a Suzuki XL-7 and likes it. It seems pretty inexpensive though I don't know about the safety ratings.
I'd vote for the Odyssey too, but Sienna is bigger I think. When discussing the deal with the dealer, don't mention that you want to lease till you've already bargained down to the price you want. Then, groan a little, say the price is still a bit high and ask about the leasing option. Don't let them tell you that since you're leasing, they can't give you anything lower than sticker price. Thats a flat out lie that dealers say to get more money out of your pockets.
Edit: Also, if they ask you how much you expect to pay each month, don't give them a number or a range. Just say you'd rather discuss total price only. If you give them a number, they'll use that against you and sell you a car overpriced if they can. If you give them a range, they'll only use your upper limit and add on to that so don't do it.
And last thing, discuss TOTAL price only, not price before taxes or fees. That way they can't add on junk fees then tell you they're standard. Good luck.

sedona is a modernized last model ford windstar. not the current windstar model but the pre 2000 windstar model. it's actually better than the current model ford windstar. i have a current model ford windstar and it has been ok, but i prefer the older model.
is the sienna bigger?? i know they made the new models bigger. for a while Honda Odyssey was the Only minivan you could lie a 4x8 sheet of plywood flat on the bed. and the seats are easy to move around too.
only problem with the odyssey is the clearance is ridiculously low.
older sienna's pre 2003 models were notorious for being small. i'm not sure which model sienna your referring too. unless you have an old odyssey. the current odyssey is quite large.
We wanted a minivan and ran into the cost isue too. After some reading, and a week long, 2000+ miles of driving, we decided to go ahead for the Sedonna. We got the EX with ABS, leather, and a couple other things that were already installed (there are only like 5 options total for it), and have been very happy so far. I have nnot been keeping close track of it yet, but it is obvious that the milage is not as good as others. This nice thing is it does not need a higher octane like the Honda though.
Basic drawbacks -
Low gas milage (only one that bothers me)
Not a lot of cargo space
Seats do not fold into floor
Seems to brake a little slow - IMHO (probably due in part to its heavy weight)
No power options for doors
Only drawback thatbothers me is the gas milage, but I knew about it before buying it.
Advantages -
Warrenty
Inexpensive - even the higher end EX
You can often get a great deal since they are not high in demand
Comfortable - IMHO
Standard dual sliding doors - Great for my two kids
We have only put about 7000+ miles on ours, but have been very happy with it. We have had two problems to date:
1. Winshield leak
2. Oil swich leak
Our dealer fixed both of these quick and without any problems under warrenty. Both problems were only minor annoyances, but still had to be dealt with. If you cannot afford the higher end Honda or other vans that are in high demand, I currently would not hesitate recommending a Sedona based on our limited experience to date.

out of the 2 minivans, the caravans are nicer i think.. i drive a 2002 and a 2003 at work.. i like them alot... there are other nicer ones, but probably more pricey.
If you change vehicles every 3 years and drive 12K or less a year you can afford a much more expensive car leasing than financing outright....
What's the difference how reliable or expensive it is? It's going to be under warranty the whole time. Bottom line is the monthly payment, right? It's conceivable that a $35,000 vehicle could have a lower lease payment than a $30,000 one, depending on what deals are available.
A friend of mine leased a little Honda for his daughter and got radically different prices from different dealers on the same car.
When I was shopping for a minivan (ugh), I came to the conclusion that the Odyssey would have to be purchased new to get the best bang for the buck. Resale value was too high on used ones. I could get a few year old Town & Country for under $15,000 though. My brother-in-law just got a 2001 Town & Country for only $13,500, but I don't know how many miles it had.
Basically, leasing gives you a new car every few years and your monthly payments are alot lower than conventional financing monthly payments. Also, you don't have to put much or anything down. Also, during those few years your covered under warranty. It has its advantages. The disadvantages are that you're always making a monthly payment and never own anything. You have to maintain the vehicle in pretty good condition or you'll end up paying for it. There are other advantages and disadvantages, but it's a matter of preference.

i'm willing to bet that jurzdevil also defends the right to buy an SUV if one wants, but he doesn't want someone to buy a minivan.
