Yup, I have one, works great. Releasing a 10.5.5 guide for it later this week actually 🙂

huh, really. That could be a fun little project. 😛

I'm hoping that the X200 doesn't give me too many problems...have you read any success stories on the Lenovo, Kaido?

I'm gonna try it on the Lenovo S10 sometime next month... We should be ordering one soon.

I read on insanelymac that the wifi card doesn't work on the MSI Wind? Does yours work?

No, replaced it with a Dell 802.11n card. That works out of the box and is seen as a native Airport!

Ah, so you have to buy a 802.11n card direct from Dell? Or you had a spare one laying around? (Does Dell sell just the wifi card?)

And also IIRC they said the audio ports don't work? Everything else is working fine?

eBay. You can also use an Apple Airport card, but those are like 3x more expensive.

Under OS X, the audio ports don't work - just speakers. They're working on a driver for it. I just use an $8 USB adapter, it's the size of a small USB thumb drive and works fine without drivers. No biggie.

My brother bought a dell mini, and it's neat. I'm tempted.. then I saw that article on gizmodo... I've been so close to hitting buy, haha.

I'm curious as to how the performance is though. That scares me some

My only gripe about the Dell Mini is lack of Function keys - no F1, F2, etc.:

you mean lack of dedicated ones? that does get me curious tho.. I presume the Fn key is not functional in OS X... damn

Hey Kaido,

I just hackintoshed my Thinkpad T43. 🙂 I'm running the iwi drivers for my Intel 2200BG, but I can't seem to get it to connect to WEP-protected networks.

I wouldn't mind getting a new wifi card. Any ideas if that Dell 802.11n card work in a Thinkpad T43?

Kaido, how is the performance with the MSI Wind running Leopard?

Performance is suprisingly good! Even though the Atom in the Wind is a single-core CPU, it shows up as dual-core because of Hyperthreading. It boots fast and wakes from sleep nearly instantly. Apps launch pretty quickly as well. The major limitation is the resolution - 1024x600. Stuff like Photobooth can't be resized, so it hangs off the edge of the screen, which is weird. But for basic usage - email/IM/Internet/Word - it's pretty dang nice. The keys take a little getting used to, but for basic typing it's fine. I've actually sold mine because it's difficult to use in my programming class - it's hard to get to the special characters I need quickly and easily, so I'm going with a larger laptop instead. But for basic typing it's pretty good.

Dell 1500 or 1505 will work!

Also congrats - laptop Hackintoshes are generally pretty tricky 🙂 This is what Apple should have made - a die-hard Thinkpad-style case running OS X.

Sorry to go OT, but how did you do this with your T43 (I have a soare collecting dust) and does it have to be leopard? I've never done this but have been working with Macs and PCs for decades but not with stuff like this. 🙂
