OK i know this probably been asked a million and 1 times. (and im hoping this is the right forum for this question)

But im going to be getting me some PC 2700 memory and was wondering which brand out of these 2.

The corsair PC 2700 (cost like $200 per 512mb stick)
or Samsung PC 2700 (cost like $160 per 512mb stick)

now the only thing i see about the corsair that is CAS 2 instead of 2.5 (which the samsung) is it wroth spending $40 per 512mb chip for cas 2 over 2.5?

Should i pay the premium for the corsair or go with samsung?

Im looking to purchase 2 512mb sticks so if there is any other memory u would recommend lmk. I looked at the mushkin but it doesnt look any better than the samsung and cost almost as much as the corsair.

i could get kingston. But KINGMAX doesnt have 512mb pc2700 sticks (well i couldnt find any)

Thanks

Samsung makes the best RAMBUS, I wouldn't be surprised if the Corsair uses Samsung chips.

You are paying for more than the diff in CAS with Corsair. The Samsung is prolly generic. Corsair has excellent quality control and warranty. And I feel the price diff for that plus the CAS diff is worth a substantial diff. IMHO.

It really matters if you are going to be overclocking it or not, the corsair would hopefully allow higher speeds.
