Which memory modules are best suited OCZ, G.Skill, Corsair

Hi,

I am building a new computer with i7 980x, Asus Rampage III formula mobo. I want to which would be better choice of memory for me. I do not overclock much (only as much as the stock cooling allows stably). I frequently play games, do development, run virtual machines.

I think OCZ, GSkill and Corsair have the good brands, but which one is better among them? should I go for 1600 or 1866? will I need to care for the memory timings as well or the speeds tells it all?

will appreciate your help.

yeah ram speed doesn't really matter. When overclocking my i7 i had my ram running at everything from 1100 or so up to its rated 1600 and the differnce in performance from 1100-1600 was very small, well under 5%. Even if you overclock you can hit 4Ghz + and use a low memory divider to keep ram under 1333.

I would buy a 1333 or 1600 kit and call it a day, lowest voltage possible.

ocz is terrible, I had a 3x2gb set of ddr 1600 for my i7 rig. rma'd it last month, the new set is bad as well. I've had good luck with corsair and gskill both, but if I had to pick one I'd get the gskill.
