Which memory and CPU

Ok looking to get the Asus P4C800-E Deluxe and a 2.8 800 mhz cpu. I have been looking at memory and I am so out of the loop now a days not sure which to go with.

Of course most likely Corsair but not sure which one they have low latency etc etc. It will be the TwinX of course if I go that way, I have read the review here about the memory shootout and they said even Crucial is good. I probably wont O/C this one but you never know.

I have Crucial 2100 in my comp now and it runs fine not O/Cd anymore so just running at spd in the bios.

Feel free to give me some help including part numbers links etc. Not just Corsair but I will take all suggestions.

One other thing 2.8 or 2.8C which is the best for ocing in the stepping department now a days. Those C's use to be king are they still?

Might even go with a lower CPU if I can get a better O/C.

Hope I didnt confuse anyone about the O/C cause even if I say I might not I might also. 😀

Is there any budget?

I hate that question lol. Yeah there is but not like its super low think the 700 dollar range, from what it looks like the Corsair is gonna be pricey since I will get 1024 gig.

Thats why I might go with different ram cause the Crucial is much cheaper, but the way I am I have a tendency to throw the budget out the window slightly. Any and all opinions are welcome.

After these things then I will look for an 8mb cache HD, WD is my choice to people can show me deals on those to.

Hmmm...Geil and Buffalo are cheap at Newegg, but I'm not sure how they overclock.

Yeah have seen both those but havent read alot about them, O/C isnt the main concern. I was using Corsair way back when everyone here was using Crucial then after I get Crucial and upgrade a year and 7 months ago everyone went to Corsair.

Looks like its a conspiricy against me, I just want to maximise the system to the fullest even if I dont O/C it.

My comp now WAS running at 115 fsb over the 100 stock but now it wont do that without hardlocking. I dont want to go with big bucks memory if I dont have to. Crucial is about 96 bucks a stick and might do just fine.

Are the matched sticks really that imporant on the dual DDR mobo's? Also the low latency thing I wonder about, can save money if the non-low latency will work just fine.

Thugs where are you come help this is right up your alley.

With a similar budget, I bought 2 sticks of this corsair memory 2 weeks ago, course price has since gone up about 20 bucks a stick since then.
