Peyton, and it's not even close. Don't get me wrong, Eli has been underrated throughout his career, but the Colts went from a 10-6 team to a 2-14 team based solely around losing Peyton Manning. I don't think Eli has quite that level of importance to the Giants.

Peyton.

No question. He elevated the Colts, and they couldn't win without him.
Eli isn't as consistent, though he is a very good QB in his own right.

peyton. he's intuition is unmatched by anyone except for aaron rodgers. peyton's a playmaker and no one reads defenses better than him.

eli has a better coach and team around him.

I do not really get this argument. So...how can you be certain that Peyton would have turned them into a winning team? How do you know they would not finish 8-8? or even 6-10? I am not debating his impact on the team, but that defense was horrendous and they did not have the coaching to fix it.

So by that logic - Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino?

Football is the ultimate team sport - Peyton is a top 5 all-time QB - Eli is top 50, maybe.

That is total bullshit. Tom Coughlin is a bafoon and every year has coached a team that has collapsed except in the years he won a Super Bowl. Eli has played behind a different make shift front line almost every year of his career. He has also had not had one receiving corps that has been together for more than 2 seasons straight. Peyton has had better coaches and way more talent to play with.

I also think Peyton will go down as one of the greatest coaches of all time. IMO Someone should be trying to talk him into a lucrative offensive coordinator position. The guys football IQ is off the charts imo.

da fuck are you on?

you SERIOUSLY think that the colts receiving core is better than Manningham, Cruz, and Nicks?

you think Adai is better than Bradshaw?

gtfo of here...

the only reasly eli DOES have good stats is because his receivers bail the shit out of him. there were so many circus catches this year that Cruz caught and YAC that eli just happened to be tossing his way.

im not saying he sucks or anything, but he is nowhere near the level of Peyton. like it's not even close.

yeah, giant's have a good WR core. I would not say the colts had a bad one though...but Peyton has always had Wayne.

Obviously Peyton. Superbowls are won by a team - 45 people suit up for a game, and most of them take the field in some fashion.
