Hi, is there a Linux distribution whose latest stable release includes XFree86 4.2?

Thanks.

Nice thing about SuSE is you can download vendor-supplied RPMs of XF86 4.2.0 for SuSE 7.1 or later.

I've been using it for a few months, and they are completely stable for me. I'm not taking advantage of any of the new features yet though (i.e. AA fonts).

Yup. Thanks, guys.

I have a Radeon 7500, and therefore needed 4.2.0.

I just installed Mandrake 8.2, and it worked beautifully. One other pleasant surprise is that it supported my Audigy sound card and TV card right out of the box. Nice....
