At the moment I have a dual head nVidia MX4000 AGP video card in a two month old computer. I don't do anything that is very demanding videowise either. I suppose I might get an $80 TV PCI card, but I don't think that requires an excellent monitor.

I plan to get two monitors so that I can view lots of windows at the same time. Which of the following do you think would be the best choice? Why?
Two 19" Acer AL1912 = $570

# Simple setup; supports optional wall mount
# PC compatible; 3-year warranty
# 1,280 x 1,024 native resolution, fine 0.294 mm dot pitch
# Wide 140-degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles
# 250 nits of brightness, 500:1 contrast ratio, 16 ms response time
or
Two 17" Samsung 710n-2 @ $544

# 12 ms response time; MagicTune and MagicBright functions
# PC, Mac, Sun Microsystems compatible; 3-year warranty
# 1,280 x 1,024 resolution, 0.264 mm dot pitch
# Wide 160-degree horizontal viewing
# 300 nits of brightness, 600:1 contrast ratio
thanks for advice

I personally think you will enjoy 12ms more than 16ms. But I think you can do better overall since 8ms ones are easily found for less.
